Job Title: Senior Business Manager
Department: Business / Sales / Growth
Reporting To: Head of Business / Vice President – Business
Job Summary
The Senior Business Manager is responsible for driving business growth, revenue expansion, and strategic partnerships for the fintech platform. The role involves managing key accounts, scaling distribution channels, leading business teams, and collaborating cross-functionally with product, technology, risk, and operations teams to deliver profitable and compliant growth.
Key Responsibilities
Business Growth & Strategy
Develop and execute business strategies to scale fintech products such as digital lending, payments, BNPL, wallets, credit cards, or embedded finance.
Identify new business opportunities, markets, and customer segments.
Drive revenue growth while maintaining portfolio quality and profitability.
Sales & Channel Management
Lead and manage regional / national sales teams, channel partners, DSAs, fintech aggregators, and strategic alliances.
Set targets, monitor performance, and ensure achievement of business KPIs.
Establish partnerships with merchants, platforms, NBFCs, banks, and corporate clients.
Product & Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Product and Tech teams to improve customer journeys, onboarding, credit decisioning, and user experience.
Provide market insights to enhance product features and pricing strategies.
Coordinate with Risk, Compliance, Legal, and Operations to ensure regulatory adherence.
Customer & Partner Management
Manage key enterprise clients and high-value partners.
Ensure seamless onboarding, integration, and ongoing relationship management.
Address escalations and ensure high partner and customer satisfaction.
Data, Analytics & Reporting
Use data-driven insights to optimize acquisition, conversion, and retention.
Prepare MIS, dashboards, and leadership reports.
Team Leadership
Hire, mentor, and develop high-performing business and sales teams.
Foster a performance-driven, collaborative, and agile work culture.
Required Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of fintech ecosystem, digital lending, payments, or financial products
Strategic thinking with strong execution capability
Expertise in partnerships, enterprise sales, and channel management
Data-driven decision-making and analytical skills
Excellent negotiation, stakeholder management, and communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced startup or scale-up environment
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field
Experience
2–3 years of experience in fintech, banking, NBFC, or financial services
Minimum 1–2years in a leadership or senior business role
Proven experience in scaling digital financial products or partnerships
