Service Engineer (Shot Blasting Machine)

Job Description – Service Engineer (Shot Blasting Machine) We are looking for a skilled Service Engineer to install, maintain, and troubleshoot Shot Blasting Machines and related industrial equipment. The candidate will be responsible for providing on-site service support, ensuring machine uptime, and delivering excellent customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

A. Installation & Commissioning

• Install, assemble, and commission shot blasting machines at customer sites.

• Check alignment of blast wheels, conveyor systems, dust collectors, and control panels

. • Perform trial runs and ensure machine performance meets specifications.

B. Troubleshooting & Repair

• Diagnose faults in mechanical components like:

• Blast wheels
• Bearing housings
• Bucket elevators
• Screw conveyors
• Storage hopper & abrasive recovery systems

C. Preventive Maintenance

• Conduct regular maintenance visits

. • Check wear parts, lubrication points, and overall machine health.

• Suggest improvements for reducing downtime.

D. Customer Support

• Provide training to operators on safe and efficient machine use.

• Attend service calls on priority and ensure timely resolution.

• Maintain good customer relations.

3. Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong understanding of shot blasting processes and equipment.

• Knowledge of mechanical systems: bearings, gearboxes, conveyors, blowers.

• Basic understanding of electrical systems, PLC, and safety controls.

• Ability to read mechanical drawings and wiring diagrams.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Good communication and customer handling.

4. Qualifications

• Diploma / BE in Mechanical

• 1–4 years of experience in shot blasting machine service.
