Steward/Waiter

Job SummaryThe Steward is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and organization in the kitchen and food service areas. This role supports kitchen staff by ensuring all utensils, dishes, and equipment are cleaned and sanitized according to health and safety standards.

• Key ResponsibilitiesWash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and kitchen equipment.
• Ensure proper cleaning and sanitizing of kitchen surfaces and storage areas.
• Dispose of trash and maintain waste disposal areas.
• Assist in receiving and storing food supplies.
• Maintain cleanliness of refrigerators, freezers, and storage rooms.
• Support kitchen and service staff as required.
• Follow all health, safety, and hygiene standards.
• Report maintenance or safety issues to supervisors.
• Required Skills & QualificationsHigh school diploma (preferred but not mandatory).
• Basic knowledge of hygiene and sanitation standards.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy items.
• Team player with good communication skills.
• Attention to detail and time management skills.
