Job Title: Storekeeper

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Storekeeper to manage inventory operations efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess strong computer skills, exceptional stock management abilities, and an accurate, working knowledge of inventory at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing stock
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment
• Organise and store materials systematically for easy access and tracking
• Conduct regular physical stock verification and reconcile discrepancies
• Ensure proper documentation of invoices, receipts, and stock registers
• Coordinate with procurement, suppliers, and internal teams for stock movement
• Maintain cleanliness and order within the storage area
• Prevent loss, damage, or misplacement of goods

Required Skills and Competencies:

• Strong Computer Proficiency: Skilled in using inventory management software, spreadsheets (MS Excel), and basic data entry systems
• Exceptional Stock Awareness: Ability to recall stock details, quantities, and locations with precision—maintaining near-instant familiarity with inventory status
• Expertise in Stockkeeping: Thorough understanding of inventory systems (FIFO/LIFO), stock rotation, and storage practices
• Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in record-keeping and stock verification
• Organisational Skills: Ability to maintain a well-structured and efficient storage system
• Numerical Ability: Comfortable with basic calculations, stock counts, and record reconciliation
• Communication Skills: Clear coordination with team members and reporting authorities
• Integrity and Accountability: Responsible for safeguarding stock and maintaining transparent records

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant diploma (preferred)
• Prior experience in storekeeping or inventory management is an advantage
