Telecaller

A Telecaller is responsible for making and receiving phone calls to promote products or services, resolve customer queries, and help achieve the company’s sales or service targets. The role is mainly phone-based, with a strong focus on communication, persuasion, and accurate data entry.

Main responsibilities

• Call existing and potential customers to inform them about products, services, offers, or campaigns.
• Answer incoming calls, handle queries, give correct information, and resolve basic complaints.
• Understand customer needs by asking questions and explain features, benefits, pricing, and offers clearly to close sales or generate leads.
• Update and maintain customer details, call outcomes, and follow‑up notes in CRM/software or Excel.
• Do regular follow‑up calls with interested customers and pass hot leads to the sales team if required.
• Achieve daily/weekly/monthly targets for number of calls, leads, sales, or collections, as per company policy.
• Attend briefings or trainings to stay updated on new products, scripts, and processes, and follow all call quality and compliance guidelines.

Required skills

• Strong verbal communication in required languages (e.g., Hindi, English, local language), with clear and polite voice.
• Active listening, patience, and ability to handle objections or rude customers calmly.
• Persuasion and negotiation skills to influence customer decisions and close sales or secure commitments.
• Basic computer skills (typing, MS Office, email) and comfort using CRM/calling software or dialler.
• Time management to handle high call volume and complete follow‑ups on time; attention to detail in recording data.
