Underwriting Executive

Job Summary

The Underwriting Executive – Sanction is responsible for evaluating loan applications, analyzing financial and credit information, assessing risk, and recommending approval or rejection of loan proposals as per company policies and regulatory guidelines. 

• Key ResponsibilitiesReview and analyze loan applications, financial statements, bank statements, and credit reports.
• Conduct credit risk assessment for loan proposals.
• Verify customer documents including KYC, income proof, and Bank statement.
• Evaluate repayment capacity, financial stability, and creditworthiness of applicants.
• Check bureau reports (CIBIL) and identify risk indicators.
• Ensure compliance with internal credit policies and regulatory guidelines.
• Prepare credit notes / sanction notes for approval.
• Coordinate with sales, operation teams for clarification and documentation.
• Highlight potential fraud risks or discrepancies in applications.

Eligibility / Qualifications

12th/ Bachelor’s degree.

Experience

• Minimum 6 month experience in credit underwriting, loan processing, or risk assessment.
• Experience in personal loans and business loans in NBFC preferred.
