Welder / Fitter

Reports To: Production Supervisor / Factory Manager

1. Job PurposeTo assemble, fit, install, and support the manufacturing of façade access systems (BMU components, davits, monorail trolleys, cradles, and mechanical structures) ensuring high-quality workmanship, precision, and safety.

• 2. Key ResponsibilitiesA. Assembly & FittingPerform mechanical fitting of BMU components, frames, trolleys, cradles, and structural parts.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, fabrication sketches, and BOMs.
• Carry out drilling, grinding, cutting, welding assistance, and alignment tasks.
• Fit mechanical subassemblies like winches, gearboxes, rail wheels, and safety devices.
• B. Quality & InspectionEnsure measurements and tolerances as per drawings.
• Report fabrication defects or design mismatches.
• Conduct pre-assembly and final inspection of fitted parts.
• C. Tools & Machine HandlingOperate power tools (grinders, drilling machines, hydraulic tools).
• Maintain tools and ensure safe operation.
• D. Safety & ComplianceFollow company safety policies and PPE requirements.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workstation.
• E. Support ActivitiesAssist welding and fabrication teams when required.
• Participate in installation or site work occasionally (optional based on company need).
• 3. Required Skills & QualificationsITI Fitter / Mechanical Trade certification (preferred).
• 4-6 years of fitting experience in mechanical manufacturing.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of mechanical assemblies, fabrication, and hand tools.
• Basic understanding of safety standards.
