About the role:

Gartner is looking for a highly skilled, open minded and creative Architect to join the Peer Engineering Discovery Team. You will work with Engineering, Product & Design teams in Gartner Peer Community & Gartner Peer Insights to build prototypes, validate technology options and de-risk Agile engineering delivery teams.

What you will do:

• Closely collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver business value

• Build functional prototypes based on product requirements & quickly iterate based on continuous feedback

• Research, evaluate and validate technical options, and make recommendations for evolution & adoption

• Produce architecture & solution design documents to inform delivery teams

• Ensure applications meet well-architected standards & budget requirements

• Participate in peer discovery, architecture and planning discussions, influencing technology direction and standard setting
  

What you will need:

Must Have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or other related technical degree

• 8+ years of professional experience in customer-facing web application development

• 5+ years of professional experience in cloud computing platforms

• 4+ years of professional experience in software architecture design

• Proficiency with at least one major backend programming language (Java, Golang, Python)

• Solid understanding of well-architected system design principles and best practices

• Solid understanding of Domain Driven Design principles and best practices

• Strong qualitative and quantitative problem-solving skills

• Effective time management, organization, and prioritization skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to effectively interface with both technical and business audiences

• Be intellectually curious, open minded, and possess ability to learn new concepts, tools & technologies quickly
  

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Next.JS, Elasticsearch, MongoDB, Postgres, AWS

• Experience with LLMs, RAG, Vector DBs, Embedding models, MCP

• Experience with AI coding assistance tools (such as Github Copilot) and AI SDLC practices

• Experience with MLOps frameworks, Data Pipelines, and Enterprise Integration technologies & patterns
  

Who you are:

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or other related technical degree

• Excellent communication and prioritization skills.

• Able to work independently or within a team proactively in a fast-paced AGILE-SCRUM environment.

• Strong desire to improve upon their skills in software development, frameworks, and technologies.
