Roles and Responsibilities for  Senior Data Strategist

• Develop Data Strategy: Design and execute data strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the main point of contact between stakeholders and data teams, translating business needs into data solutions.
• Asset Management: Oversee the management and optimization of financial assets, including portfolios, transactions, and investment strategies, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business goals.
• Support Decision Making: Provide actionable insights and track key metrics to guide business decisions.
• SQL & Data Analysis: Use SQL to query and manipulate data, ensuring accuracy for analysis and reporting.
• Data Visualization: Create dashboards and visual reports to communicate findings effectively to stakeholders.
• Collaboration: Work across departments to integrate data-driven insights into business operations.
• Leadership & Mentorship: Lead data strategy initiatives and mentor junior team members on best practices.
• Project Management: Manage and deliver data-related projects within scope and deadlines.
• Compliance & Optimization: Ensure data practices meet legal standards and continuously optimize strategies based on performance.

Candidate Profile:

• 8+ years of experience in data strategy, analytics, or a related field, with significant exposure to the financial services or investment banking sectors.
• Extensive experience in data management, reporting, and visualization to support business decisions.
• Proven expertise in managing financial data assets and optimizing the use of data resources to meet business objectives.
• Hands-on experience with SQL for complex data querying and analysis.
• Strong background in stakeholder management with the ability to influence decision-making at all levels.
• Experience translating business needs into actionable data-driven strategies and reports.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Finance, Economics, Business Analytics, or related fields.
• Additional certifications in Data Management, Financial Services, or Project Management (e.g., CFA, PMP, or similar certifications) are a plus.
