The Global Process Owner for Accounts Payable plays a crucial role in driving efficiency and effectiveness in financial operations. By optimizing processes, collaborating with stakeholders, and leveraging technology, the GPO ensures that the organization maintains strong vendor relationships and compliance with financial regulations. This role requires strategic thinking, excellent leadership skills, and a deep understanding of financial processes. 

 

Responsibilities 

  • Process Management and Optimization: 

  • Manage the end-to-end accounts payable process to align with organizational objectives. 

  • Identify and implement best practices to improve efficiency and accuracy. 

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive process documentation, including standard operating procedures. 

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as procurement, finance, and vendors to ensure smooth operations. 

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for resolving process-related issues. 

  • Performance Monitoring and Reporting: 

  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of the accounts payable process. 

  • Analyze data regularly and generate reports to provide insights into process performance. 

  • Present findings and recommendations to senior management. 

  • Technology and Automation: 

  • Utilize technology solutions to automate manual processes and enhance efficiency. 

  • Work with IT teams to implement new systems or upgrade existing ones. 

  • Compliance and Risk Management: 

  • Ensure all processes comply with relevant regulations and company policies. 

  • Identify potential risks in the process and develop strategies to mitigate them. 

  • Team Leadership and Development: 

  • Lead a team responsible for various aspects of the accounts payable process. 

  • Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team capabilities. 

Qualifications we seek in you! 

Minimum Qualifications 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field. 

  • Extensive experience in finance operations, particularly in accounts payable processes. 

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets. 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder management. 

  • Proficiency in financial software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. 

  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in managing teams.
