Associate Director (L&D) - LC UK
KPMG Global Services (KGS) is currently seeking a Learning Associate Director for the Consulting team. The individual will lead a team of learning and development professionals who design and support the development of high-quality learning materials for clients. In this role, the individual will have an opportunity to work across several projects that involve the design and delivery of quality learning materials for tech-enabled transformation projects. The individual should be prepared to work in a dynamic environment with changing requirements and frequent interactions with on-site engagement teams and clients.
The individual will need expert knowledge and skills in Instructional Design, Learning Content Development and the related technologies, project management, stakeholder management, and team management.
As an Associate Director (L&D), the individual will manage the delivery of learning projects addressing specific business needs. This involves liaising with onshore counter parts and Subject Matter Experts to gain an understanding of the business requirements and the subject to guide the team in the development of learning assets and end user learning materials.
- Designs and develops ID strategies supporting the development of high-quality learning content to client specifications.
- Engages with technology leads and contributes to business development activities while drafting responses, producing proposals and estimates (cost and timelines), supported by assumptions.
- Leads TNA and curriculum design, and scope of work for tech-enabled business transformation projects for clients.
- Defines the standard learning curriculum for end user training for tech-enabled business transformations —the kinds of deliverables for each sector and technology— driven by clients RFPs vs what we recommend basis our experience.
- Manages the learning projects pipeline, resourcing requirements, and team utilization.
- Works closely and collaboratively with stakeholders and SMEs to gather project requirements and conduct content workshops.
- Manages relationship with SMEs and the onshore/offshore team, that significantly contributes to the overall success of the project.
- Provides input to refresh existing learning programs for technology-enabled learning projects.
- Demonstrates knowledge on the latest industry trends.
- Performs project management activities such as gathering required information for the project, developing a project plan, defining a budget, obtaining approvals, and driving the delivery of learning content within the planned time and budget.
- Develops delivery strategies for learning projects aligned with the customer requirements.
- Contributes to marketing and promotional collaterals for team and project related communications.
- Mentors and guides a team of L&D professionals in delivering quality work.
- Leads organizational initiatives to ensure effective functioning of the team.
- Experience of developing digital courses through a complete instructional systems design (ISD) lifecycle and designing training content in several formats and styles, according to audience requirements
- Advanced understanding of applications of learning theories, instructional design strategies, instructional psychology, and learning styles to meet the curriculum objectives
- An advanced-level proficiency in written and spoken English (well-versed with US and British Writing Standards)
- An advanced-level proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience of leading learning projects for tech-enabled business transformations (involving the implementation of SAP, Oracle, Workday, ServiceNow etc.)
- A thorough understanding of the need for project standards and experience of adhering to different standards for written and visual content
- Familiarity with SCORM standards and specifications
- Experience of managing a range of stakeholders in various geographies that exhibits a sound understanding of the stakeholder management process and cultural differences.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritise work to meet strict deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with others collaboratively.
- Experience of working on a variety of topics such as soft skills, finance, software, and non-software technologies
- Ability to determine ways to evaluate business impacts of learning.
- Experience of enforcing protocols for knowledge and training repository
- Experience in resource management, project management, and recruitment for L&D professionals
- Experience of developing scope and effort/cost estimation for learning project proposals
