Job Description

We are interested in speaking with candidates up to Cost Manager level about a position in our Gurgaon JBS team.

Role Purpose

We have an exciting opportunity to join our growing UAE Fit Out Cost Management team, a friendly, professional and dynamic group.

The successful candidate will have experience in cost management of fit out projects to a variety of client groups, managing key client projects and providing advice / guidance to multi-disciplinary teams as well as supporting the management and direction to the client. This is a fast-paced team with an enviable client-list and with an increasing workload; there is significant opportunity for progression and career development.

You will be reporting into an Cost Lead and have the ability to support the delivery of fit out projects. As such, you will need to demonstrate experience with appropriate fit out projects as well as the ability to manage and build strong relationships with team.  You will also be encouraged to support on bids and engage with other areas of the business.

What this job involves

• Provide support to cost and commercial leadership in the delivery of pre and post-contract services specialising in fit out projects.
• Work on pre contract tasks including; taking detailed measurements, preparing estimates, preparing BOQs, preparing invitations to tender, handling tender processes and providing input into value engineering at each design stage.
• Prepare and manage costs and budgets for projects from outset to completion.
• Prepare contract documents.
• Administration and evaluation of variations/change orders.
• Prepare detailed cost reports and cashflow forecasts.
• Prepare interim valuations.
• Prepare final accounts.
• Detailed weekly and monthly reporting on commercial position.
• Take suitable commercial meeting minutes.
• Use CostX, Excel and other Microsoft Office programmes to an advanced level

• Identify, communicate & mitigate risk associated with design and cost estimates
• Work with various measurement codes like POMI, NRM, SMM7 etc.
• Enthusiastic, proactive and self-motivated
• Developed verbal, numerical and report/proposal writing skills
• Flexible and have the ability to work to deadlines
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office products, preferably CostX
• Willing to become part of an engaged and supportive team

Desired skills & Experience

• The ideal candidate will have a technical and experience-based QS/CM background, with minimum experience of 4-5 years
• MRICS is preferred but not necessarily mandatory for the right individual
• Experience with fit-out of Commercial office, hotel / hospitality and residential projects would be desirable
