What would you do? What are the key objectives and expectations from this role? The Global Sourcing Manager is responsible for the execution of the global category ‘Sourcing to Contract’ strategy, specifically: • Source to contract (sourcing plan, tender, negotiate and contract) • Spend and compliance reporting • Commercial risk management • Contract Management • Supplier Relationship Management • Peer group or market network build Sourcing involves identifying and acquiring goods and services needed by an organization. This role includes researching suppliers, negotiating contracts, and managing supplier relationships. It also involves evaluating the quality and cost-effectiveness of products and services. The goal is to ensure the organization obtains the best value while meeting its procurement needs efficiently. Understand when & how to use a request for proposal (price and non-price factors) and RFQ (price only) and how to develop, execute and analyze the results. Collect and analyze quantitative and qualitative information to assess, screen and select suppliers.
What are we looking for? Experience Required • Detailed knowledge of supply market, supplier capabilities and competitor activity, and expected trends at a geographic / global level • In-depth category knowledge and proven capability of applying supplier management techniques to deliver added value benefits in addition to contracted benefits • Expertise in successful development of complex, multi-country contracts and agreements • Detailed understanding of financial evaluation and interpretation of supplier’s records and their key cost and business drivers • Full understanding of the category total cost model, cost drivers and all factors needed to ensure a robust agreement for CLIENT (including specification and testing requirements) • Understanding of the processes, timelines and constraints for the development and delivery of new products. • Experience in managing complex global and area projects and programs to improve performance and deliver service • Sound knowledge of corporate regulations and legislation to ensure the creation of effective group contract. • Experience in managing large scale, cross-country projects and programs to improve performance and deliver service Technical / Functional / Leadership Skills Required • Knowledge of the Category including the external marketplace, key drivers and levers, supply base and balance of power, supplier capabilities and trends • Strong Stakeholder Management skillset • Expertise in negotiation skills and influencing skills: able to influence business partners and suppliers as well as the ability to be assertive if required to ensure compliance to contract • Strong interpersonal and communication skills • Strong digital analytical and numerical ability • Ability to develop and maintain effective partnerships working across geographic boundaries and functions • A focus on service delivery and savings • Preferably IWS / Lean Manufacturing experience Education / Qualifications / Certifications Required • Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant area • CIPS Corporate Diploma in Purchasing and/or membership of The Chartered Institute for Purchasing and Supply or equivalent country qualification or membership would be an advantage
Roles and Responsibilities: • Define Global Sourcing strategies for the category to achieve the business objectives for the next 1 – 2 yrs • Execute sourcing plans in line with global standards and policies • Lead global and geographic contract negotiations effectively to deliver robust terms and conditions that manages CLIENT’s service delivery and commercial risk that represent value for money • Build strong supplier base relationships and manage negotiation and supplier selection within the framework of the category strategies and sourcing strategies • Lead global and geographic supplier management and drive geographic continuous improvement initiatives with suppliers in coordination with business functions • Monitor contractual performance in accordance with agreed SLAs to identity and resolve issues, escalating as appropriate • Ability to understand and communicate the individual category strategy to internal stakeholders • Business Continuity plan execution and pro-active risk management
