Finance Executive - Job Description

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Finance Executive with strong accounting fundamentals to join our finance team. This role involves comprehensive accounts management, tax compliance, and financial reporting activities.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Management

  • Manage end-to-end Accounts Payable processes including vendor invoice processing, payment scheduling, and vendor reconciliations

  • Handle Accounts Receivable activities including invoice generation, payment follow-ups, and customer account reconciliations

  • Maintain accurate and timely recording of financial transactions

Tax Compliance & Statutory Requirements

  • Calculate and process TDS deductions as per applicable rates and regulations

  • Ensure compliance with Income Tax provisions and filing requirements

  • Handle GST computations, return preparations, and maintain GST compliance records

  • Stay updated with changes in tax regulations and rates

Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare various financial reports using MS Excel including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements

  • Create detailed analysis reports for management review

  • Develop and maintain Excel-based financial models and dashboards

  • Assist in budget preparation and variance analysis

General Finance Support

  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities

  • Maintain financial records and ensure proper documentation

  • Assist Senior Finance Analyst with ad-hoc financial projects and analysis

  • Coordinate with external auditors and tax consultants as required

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com) from a recognized university

  • Minimum 3-4 years of hands-on experience in accounting and finance roles

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes

  • Comprehensive understanding of TDS provisions, Income Tax regulations, and GST rates

  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas, and data analysis functions

  • Familiarity with accounting software and ERP systems

Core Competencies

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

  • Attention to detail and accuracy in financial data handling

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks

Working Conditions

  • Working Days: 6 days per week

  • Reporting Structure: Direct reporting to Account Director

  • Work Location: Office-based role
