Department DescriptionThe Reward Team sits within the larger Human Resources function and works in partnership with HRBP’s and business stakeholders to ensure that the India compensation and benefits plans and practices continue to aid attraction and retention of top performing talent and also facilitates achievement of India business priorities. The function is also responsible for working with FIL’s compensation leads in other international locations to provide a wide range of support including Investment Management support, annual benchmarking service support on a range of ad hoc initiatives.

Purpose of the Role

The Global Mobility team provides an efficient and high quality service to support the Business with international assignments and transfers. The role of the Global Mobility team is critical in delivering strategic and operational excellence globally. This role will be based in Gurgaon.  

Key Responsibilities

Supporting the GM management team with operational GM delivery:

  • To provide support for international assignments/transfers
  • To thoroughly understand the FIL global GM policy/processes/procedures
  • To streamline the existing processes/procedures globally
  • To handle the end to end assignment/transfer processes
  • To handle challenging questions/requests from the Business and assignees
  • To prepare costings for potential assignees / transfers
  • To prepare documentation, e.g. assignment / relocation letters, assignment notifications, cross charging forms, balance sheets, assignee expenses claim form, company letter for visa application etc
  • To maintain the filing of relevant information in the e folder
  • To maintain compliant on the immigration and tax front by working closely with the immigration and tax consultants to provide / prepare / review relevant information
  • To update the WIP and HR system (Workday)
  • To calculate the short term allowance and cost of living allowance
  • To instruct Payrolls for relevant payments globally
  • To initiate vendors for tax, immigration and destination services globally
  • To follow up with vendors on work in progress
  • To prepare dashboard and reports to assignee movements
  • To review and process vendor invoices globally

Experience and Qualifications Required

  • Seven to eight years’ plus experience in administrative/operation role
  • Experience on Global Mobility / Tax is a plus
  • Strong attention to details with excellent organisational and administrative skills
  • Customer focused
  • Data integrity: ability to work with highly confidential and sensitive information
  • This is an operational role which requires a ‘hands on’ approach to support the Business
  • Excellent PC skills (especially Excel)
  • Proactive, able to work independently without prompting
  • Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Able to prioritise and deal with demands from multiple sources
  • Fluent English
