Job Title - Health Strategy – AI Strategy – Consultant - S&C GN Management Level: 09 - Consultant Job Summary: The Health Strategy team at Accenture S&C GN is seeking an AI Strategy Consultant to help US healthcare providers and payers define, prioritize, and scale AI initiatives that deliver measurable impact. The role requires combining deep knowledge of the US healthcare value chain with strong understanding of AI fundamentals and real-world applications. Consultants will identify high-value AI opportunities, design operating models, build business cases, and support go-to-market strategies. The role also involves collaborating with client leadership to create strategic roadmaps, ensure Responsible AI adoption, and enable sustainable value realization across payer and provider organizations. Must have skills: • Strong understanding of US healthcare industry across payer and provider business models and value chain, including value-based care, care management, utilization management, and revenue cycle • AI strategy development in healthcare: Ability to define enterprise AI visions, strategic priorities, and transformation roadmaps for payers and providers • Understanding of AI basics and market use cases: Awareness of current AI applications in healthcare (e.g., clinical documentation, claims processing, fraud detection, member engagement, population health analytics), with exposure to delivering projects in these areas • Use case identification & process audits: Conducting discovery workshops, process audits, and value-stream mapping to identify and prioritize AI opportunities across payer and provider functions • Go-to-market and business case assessment: Experience developing market entry approaches, financial models, and ROI frameworks to evaluate AI opportunities • AI operating model design: Establishing governance, CoE structures, compliance policies, and data/ML lifecycle frameworks in line with HIPAA, CMS, and other regulations • AI portfolio management & value realization: Prioritizing initiatives, sequencing transformation efforts, and tracking measurable impact across clinical, operational, and financial levers • Consulting core skills: Hypothesis-driven problem solving, structured analysis, stakeholder engagement, and C-suite communication with US healthcare executives Good to have skills: • Familiarity with Generative AI applications in healthcare (e.g., summarization, conversational assistants, coding automation) • Knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards (FHIR, HL7, HIPAA compliance) • Exposure to payer and provider technology landscapes (EHR systems, care management platforms, claims adjudication tools) • Experience with digital health transformation initiatives and intelligent automation programs • Understanding of cloud-based AI ecosystems (Azure, AWS, GCP) in healthcare settings • Awareness of healthcare regulations and accreditation bodies (NCQA, CMS, state-level compliance)
Roles & Responsibilities: Healthcare AI Strategy & Operating Model • Define enterprise AI strategies aligned with payer and provider priorities. • Design AI operating models (CoEs, governance frameworks, compliance policies). • Develop build–buy–partner frameworks and vendor/partner ecosystem strategies. Use Case Discovery & Portfolio Management • Conduct process audits, discovery workshops, and value-stream mapping to identify/prioritize AI use cases across the healthcare value chain. • Develop portfolio roadmaps with sequencing, dependencies, and investment cases. • Build evaluation frameworks to assess feasibility, scalability, and ROI. Go-to-Market, Value Case & Business Outcomes • Support go-to-market strategies for AI offerings in healthcare. • Develop business cases quantifying clinical, operational, and financial impact. • Partner with clients on value realization planning (efficiency gains, cost containment, care outcomes). • Define KPIs and dashboards to track adoption and business performance. Delivery Oversight & Transformation Support • Provide strategic oversight for AI initiatives and pilot projects. • Ensure Responsible AI adoption with HIPAA/CMS alignment and compliance. • Support change management, workforce adoption, and process transformation in payer and provider settings. Client Advisory & Thought Leadership • Advise executives on emerging AI trends and market opportunities in healthcare. • Contribute to proposals, RFPs, and client presentations. • Develop thought leadership (frameworks, accelerators, case studies). • Mentor junior consultants on AI strategy frameworks and healthcare delivery.
