Roles & responsibilities ​

We are recruiting for an Assistant Manager in the Audit team. In this team, your responsibilities will include leading a team of experienced professional, perform reviews and work on Audit engagements of international KPMG teams and clients. In addition, you will be required to: ​

Undertake smaller and medium-sized assignments independently or assist in larger assignments reporting to a Manager or Senior Manager ​

Establish strong professional relationships with onshore team members through weekly meetings and calls with onshore stakeholders ​

Provide regular updates on work pipeline, discussions with onshore teams to the entire team ​

Review the work performed by the subordinates and coach them ​

Provide support/assistance for proposals/business development ​

Offer technical and transaction-based accounting advisory support and research to international KPMG teams and clients, including implementation assistance with new accounting standards ​

Prepare and present accounting workpapers, document controls and audit findings.​

Audit complex sections of the financial statements of companies as per country specific statutory requirements.​

Identify issues/missing information, manage & track the open issues until resolved.​

Educational qualifications ​

Work experience :​

Professional Chartered Accountancy qualification (e.g. ICAI or ACCA)​

The candidate must have 3 to 5 years of relevant post qualification experience in a similar role, preferably with a Big4 accounting firm​

Mandatory  technical & functional skills​

In depth knowledge of external Audit for corporate and/or international clients​

Experience in non-fs industry, corporate sector will be an added advantage​

Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)​

Proficiency/Working knowledge of Adobe Professional would be an added advantage​
