Roles and  responsibilities

We are recruiting for a Senior in the Financial Service Audit team in Ireland (Pension audits). In this team, your responsibilities will include leading a team of experienced professionals, perform reviews and work on Pension Audit engagements of KPMG Ireland team. In addition, you will be required to: 

·Audit complex sections of the financial statements especially of Pension clients ·Undertake smaller and medium-sized assignments independently or assist in larger assignments reporting to a Manager or Partner. ·Establish strong professional relationships with onshore team members through weekly meetings and calls with onshore stakeholders  ·Provide regular updates on work pipeline, discussions with onshore teams to the entire team  ·Review the audit work performed by the subordinates and coach them  ·Prepare and present audit workpapers, document audit procedures and audit findings. ·Identify issues/missing information, manage and track the open issues until resolved. 

 

Educational qualifications

Work experience :

•Pursuing ACCA •The candidate must have 4 plus years of relevant experience in a similar role, preferably with a Big4 accounting firm

Mandatory  technical and functional skills

·In depth knowledge of external Audit for corporate and/or international clients ·Understanding of international GAAP, IFRS and Financial sector will be an added advantage ·Understanding of international GAAP, IFRS and Experience in Financial Service sector (i.e. Banking, Insurance, Asset Management) will be an added advantage ·Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
