Mobile Application QA Engineer

IT Test Engineer II

We are looking for a QA resource to ensure the quality, performance, and reliability of our mobile applications built using Ionic. The role involves close collaboration with the Tech Architect, Test Lead and development teams to validate features, integrations, and user experience across Android and iOS.
The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience testing  mobile applications, understands modern QA practices in Agile environments, and takes ownership of delivering high‑quality releases.

Required Skills & Qualifications - 
Strong understanding of QA processes, testing methodologies, and Agile practices
Hands‑on experience testing Ionic mobile applications
Experience testing applications that integrate with RESTful APIs
Experience with manual testing and basic exposure to automation testing tools
Familiarity with tools like Postman, JIRA etc
Experience testing applications across multiple devices and platforms

Key Responsibilities - 
Understand product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
Create and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test plans for Ionic‑based mobile applications
Perform functional, integration, regression, and system testing
Validate UI consistency, responsiveness, and usability across multiple devices and operating systems
Test applications on Android and iOS platforms, including varying screen sizes and OS versions
Validate REST API integrations
Work closely with developers to reproduce issues and validate fixes
Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, reviews, retrospectives)
Support UAT and release validation activities
Ensure quality benchmarks are met before deployments
