Role : Data Engineer -GCP

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in data engineering or a related field, with a strong emphasis on cloud technologies
• Proficiency in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, including BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage (GCS), and Cloud Dataproc
• Experience in designing, building, and automating data pipelines for processing, transforming, and storing large datasets
• Strong expertise in SQL, with a deep understanding of performance optimization, complex queries, and data transformations
• Familiarity with data modeling and best practices for cloud-based data storage, processing, and analytics
• Knowledge of Agile methodology and experience working in cross-functional teams using Agile principles
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to develop data-driven solutions and influence key business decisions
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, prioritize competing demands, and adapt to rapidly changing requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
• Hands-on experience with key GCP tools like BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Dataproc, and Cloud Functions
• Proficiency with data orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow, Cloud Composer, or similar frameworks
• Expertise in ETL processes and cloud-native data architecture, with experience in automating data workflows
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala, with experience in developing production-grade data engineering solutions
• Knowledge of data lake and data warehouse architectures and integration strategies
• Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Looker, or Google Data Studio
• Ability to optimize data processes and pipelines for performance and cost efficiency in a cloud environment
• Familiarity with integrating machine learning models and data science workflows into data pipelines
• Strong attention to data security, privacy, and governance best practices within the GCP ecosystem
• Proven ability to mentor and collaborate in a dynamic team environment, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement
