Lead Assistant Manager

Job Summary:

The Marketing Mix Modeling Analyst will lead efforts to optimize marketing investments and enhance decision-making through advanced statistical modeling and analytics. This role involves building and maintaining marketing mix models, analyzing marketing performance data, and providing actionable insights to improve ROI across various marketing channels.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Marketing Mix Modeling:

  • Develop and implement advanced marketing mix models to assess the impact of various marketing activities
  • Calibrate models using historical marketing spend and performance data to forecast future outcomes.
  • Identify optimal marketing investment levels across channels

2. Data Analysis and Insights:

  • Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets from multiple sources, including marketing platforms, sales systems, and third-party providers.
  • Interpret MMM outputs to provide actionable recommendations for marketing strategy adjustments.
  • Monitor and report on the performance of marketing activities and their alignment with business goals.

3. Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Partner with marketing, finance, and product teams to ensure the alignment of MMM findings with business objectives.
  • Communicate complex analytical results to non-technical stakeholders through clear storytelling and visualization.
  • Collaborate with external vendors or partners on MMM-related projects.

4. Tools and Technologies:

  • Utilize statistical tools and programming languages (e.g., Python, R, SAS) for model building and data analysis.
  • Employ visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) to create dashboards and reports.
  • Stay updated on advancements in MMM methodologies and tools.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong expertise in statistical modeling, econometrics, and predictive analytics.
  • Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, R) and statistical packages.
  • Hands-on experience with data manipulation and visualization tools.
  • Solid understanding of marketing strategies, campaign execution, and key performance metrics.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to present complex findings clearly.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Data Science, Marketing Analytics, or a related field. (Master’s or MBA preferred.)
  • 3+ years of experience in marketing analytics, with a focus on marketing mix modeling.
  • Proven track record of driving marketing ROI improvements through analytics.
  • Experience with machine learning techniques and tools is a plus.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing analytics and attribution modeling is an advantage.
