Role Overview:

 We at EXL Analytics are looking for candidates with experience in Model development and validation. This role involves developing, validating, and implementing quantitative models to support decision making processes across various business units. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in statistical modeling, data analysis, and risk assessment.

Key Responsibilities:

 1. Model development - Develop and implement statistical models for risk assessment and performance evaluation. End-to-end model development including segmentation, model design, variable reduction technique, model selection and model performance.

2. Model Validation - Conduct thorough validation of existing models to ensure accuracy, reliability, and compliance with regulatory standards.

3. Model Risk Management/Model Governance - Model Risk policy & governance; regulatory interpretation and compliance; regulatory submissions. Credit risk; capital models; model life-cycle management, financial crime risk; economic research.

Skills:

- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Data Science, or a related field; master's preferred.

- Proven experience in model development or validation in the Banking sector for retail risk space. (scorecard model development/validation experience preferred)

- Mandatory hands-on in SQL, with experience in SAS, Python

- Familiarity with machine learning techniques and statistical analysis tools

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
