ESG Manager

Manager - IMPACT (ESG)

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Manager to lead and drive our Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) agenda. This role will be pivotal in integrating ESG principles into our business strategy, enhancing our sustainability initiatives, and ensuring transparent and effective communication with stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of ESG frameworks and trends, excellent project management skills, and the ability to influence and engage internal and external stakeholders.

Roles & responsibilities 

General

• Enable COO Office-driven projects and drive execution of responsibilities in an efficient, impactful and timely manner
• Collaborate with KGS BU COOs, operations teams, senior leaders, and stakeholders to identify, analyze and implement improvements for the platform
• Independently provide support and direction for KGS-wide projects and engage with all key stakeholders

IMPACT (ESG)

• Translate business strategy, stakeholder expectations and risk landscape into a coherent ESG strategy and roadmap
• Ensure alignment with leadership expectations and regulatory requirement
• Lead cross-functional ESG programs (e.g. decarbonization, responsible sourcing, DEI, community impact, ethics & compliance, etc.)
• Coordinate with Operations, HR, Finance, Procurement, Legal, IT and other teams to implement ESG actions and embed them in processes
• Establish ESG governance structures, policies and decision-rights (committees, working groups, charters)
• Oversee preparation of sustainability / ESG reports, ensuring accuracy, completeness and audit-readiness
• Prepare and present ESG updates to the Board, leadership team and senior stakeholders
• Track global and local ESG regulations and ensure timely compliance (e.g. sustainability reporting rules, sector-specific ESG norms
• Build ESG awareness and capability across the organization through training, toolkits and internal communication

Educational qualifications

• Master’s degree in Business Administration or a related field
• Certification in Sustainability, Environmental Management, Public Policy or related fields would be an added benefit

Work experience

• 10-13 years of relevant experience in a Professional Services
• Consulting firm with exposure to working with multiple teams across Corporate Functions (Finance, Administration, Operations, Recruitments, etc.)
• Experience in managing ESG reporting and engagement with leadership team and senior stakeholders
• Proven track record of leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing senior stakeholders

Skills

• Strong understanding of ESG standards, taxonomies and regulations applicable to the organization's geographies and sector
• Ability to connect ESG risks and opportunities to financial and strategic impact
• Program/project management skills with experience in complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives.
• Strong analytical and data governance mindset; comfort with ESG systems and tool
• Flexibility to adapt to a variety of different work environments and locations 
• High ethical standards with the ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion in all business matters
• Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, especially while interacting with senior leaders
• Ability to think creatively and provide solutions for complex problems
