We are recruiting for a Manager in the Quality and Risk Management team. This role is a core part of delivering our Trust and Growth strategy for Consulting. This forms part of our first line of defense, helping to ensure our risk and quality processes are effectively implemented. We support our client facing colleagues to ensure that projects we undertake do not put the firm at risk or undermine our reputation.

The role offers an opportunity to cultivate an in-depth understanding of the risk and compliance procedures and how they protect the firm in practice.

The successful candidate will have scope to regularly practice complex problem solving and have frequent exposure to a variety of senior stakeholders within client-facing teams; fostering and maintaining these relationships is key to success in the role

Responsibilities will include:

•Understand and assess risk and policy implications of projects•Review engagement risk assessments (ERAs) and third-party risk assessments (TPRAs) submitted to QRM, triaging for Partner approval•Approval of ERAs and TPRAs once accredited•Provide a face for QRM and communication with the appropriate Consulting Performance Group.•Provide QRM support, advice, oversight, and feedback to the business on risk management process/governance•Assist teams in interpreting and applying QRM policy to engagements•Respond to risk queries sent to shared mailboxes•Pre-review of risk and other core documentation for compliance with QRM policy•Establish strong professional relationships with onshore team members through meetings and calls.•Possess a sharp focus and eye for detail to identify potential risks and effectively assess proposed mitigations.

• Escalate in a timely manner any risk that cannot be mitigated.

•Working and liaising with internal stakeholders and risk management to understand requirements, identify and document key issues.•Oversight and operational management rest of the junior team members supporting the Consulting QRM practice•The role involves dealing with, and challenging, a wide variety of stakeholders, primarily client facing partners and their teams and assisting them to navigate KPMG’s risk processes.•You would also be expected to develop relationships with a variety of internal specialists such as Ethics & Independence, Information Assurance, IT Security and OGC.•The role involves a high level of responsibility for guiding the business and the operation of KPMG’s risk controls

Educational qualifications

•Qualifications: Graduate or a post graduate degree from Tier 1/Tier 2 institute

Work experience

•Postgraduate with 10+ years of experience and for graduate with additional 3 years of experience.•Client-facing Engagement Management experience•Understanding of Engagement Management principles
