Team Overview​
At KPMG, within the Engineering service line, we are seeking a highly skilled software engineer The role is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the application using Azure cloud services. This includes creating Enterprise UI, APIs and containerizing the application using the principles of microservice architecture.​

Roles & responsibilities

• Developing scalable backend services in Node JS(Express JS or Nest JS).
• Build responsive and dynamic front-end interfaces using Angular or React. ​
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and define software specifications.
• Implement and ensure the quality of software through testing and best practices and code review.​
• Optimize and refactor existing codebases to enhance performance and maintainability.​
• Explore and evaluate Generative AI techniques for potential integration into existing software systems.​
• Staying updated with emerging trends in Java development, cloud technologies, and DevOps practices.​
• Mentoring junior developers and contributing to team learning sessions.​
  

Mandatory  technical & functional skills

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, Node JS(Express JS or Nest JS), and RESTful APIs.​
• Experience in building responsive and interactive UI solutions using modern front-end technologies like Angular or React. ​
• Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and TypeScript.​
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).​
• Understanding of microservices architecture and API gateways. ​
• Proficient in SQL and NoSQL databases. ​
• Flexible and proactive/self-motivated working style with strong personal ownership of problem resolution.​
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, ownership-driven approach.​

Preferred technical & functional skills

• Familiarity with DevOps principles and practices.​
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools.​
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is often preferred.
  

Educational qualifications ​

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.​ ​

Work experience​

• 6+ years of professional experience in NodeJS Full Stack Development​ Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
