Position Details 

  • Job Title: Principal Analyst (SQL & Data Management)
  • Department: EDD / Data Management 
  • Location: India (GCC Hub) Gurgaon 
  • Reports To: Service Manager 
  • Experience Required: 3–4 years 
  • Employment Type: Full-Time 

Position Summary 

The Principal Analyst will be responsible for developing, managing, and optimizing SQL and MS Access–based data solutions. The role includes writing complex queries, managing data workflows, supporting data migration projects, and ensuring scalability and data quality. The ideal candidate will have intermediate-level SQL expertise, solid data management experience, and strong communication skills. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, including joins, functions, formulas, and data manipulation. 
  • Manage databases using SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS). 
  • Create and maintain MS Access databases, including linked tables and pass-through queries. 
  • Support data migration, including data type mapping, schema alignment, and quality validation. 
  • Monitor data accuracy and implement processes for consistent data quality and governance. 
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data issues, query errors, performance bottlenecks, and workflow dependencies. 
  • Prepare documentation for workflows, database structures, and migration activities. 
  • Ensure compliance with scalability, performance, and data security standards. 
  • Communicate effectively in English with cross-functional teams and leadership. 
  • Collaborate with the Service Director on operational improvements and migration initiatives. 

Required Skills 

Technical Skills: 

  • Strong working knowledge of SQL, including joins, complex queries, functions, and data manipulation. 
  • Experience with SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS). 
  • Hands-on experience with MS Access, linked tables, and pass-through queries. 
  • Good understanding of data migration, data mapping, and schema transformation. 
  • Knowledge of relational databases, normalization, indexing, and data structures. 
  • Understanding of scalability, security, and performance optimization principles. 

Soft Skills: 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. 
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication. 
  • High attention to detail with strong documentation skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks. 

Education & Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field. 
  • 3–4 years of experience in SQL development, data management, or similar roles. 
  • Experience in data operations, migrations, or EDD environments is an advantage.
