Inviting applications for the role of  Process Associate (Loans & Deposits New Accounts) 

This role manages new account set up for loans and deposits products for Bank Admin business area.  

Responsibilities 

  • Accountable for all in good order (IGO) transactions for new account set up while working within prescribed accuracy, productivity and service level agreements (SLAs). This includes Personal Advantage Account (US/CAD), Business Advantage Account, Tax Free Savings Account (TFSA), Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP), Registered Retirement Income Fund (RRIF), Personal Non-Registered Guaranteed Investment Certificate, RRSP Loan and Leverage Loan. 

  • Work directly with business unit in response to issues and questions regarding Client’s Bank's products and processes. 

  • Follow AML guidelines and ensure enhanced due to diligence is applied for Politically Exposed Person, High Risk Clients and Bank regulations 

  • Flexibility to work overtime during peak seasons and in high volume situations 

  • Work on Office Applications – Excel, Word, Powerpoint 

 

Qualifications We seek in you! 

Minimum Qualification 

  • Work experience in bank operations is preferred but not required  

  • For Internal Candidate - must be meeting all the service quality and productivity metrics for the last six months (e.g., Call Quality, IAT QA, Adherence, Attendance, etc.) 

  • College/University graduate preferably with a degree in Banking and Finance, Management, Accounting or any business-related course  

  • Good written and verbal communication skills using the English Language. 

  • Ability to clearly understand and act on presented problem statement; to comprehend, capture as well as interpret basic customer information. 

  • Ability to compose a grammatically correct, clear and concise email 

  • Minimum keyboarding skills of at least 30 words per minute. Exhibits good navigation skills. 

  • Candidate must have good organizational and time management skills with the ability to be flexible to changing environments and to work independently and meet tight deadlines. 

  • Candidate must demonstrate problem solving skills. 

  • Ability to apply sound judgment with strong decision making skills.

Process Specific Knowledge 

  • Personal Advantage Account opening via Deposit end to end, Pplus and Finacle 

  • Business Advantage Account opening via Deposit end to end and Pplus 

  • Investment Products (TFSA, RSP, RRIF, GIC) account opening using PPlus 

  • RSP Loan and Leverage Loan Account opening through PPLus and Loans E2E 

  • Leverage loan funding and PPSA registration 

  • Other straightforward processes that the BU will transition to Manila 

New Plan Set-up 

  • Account applications for Personal and Business ADVA account, TFSA, GICs, RSPs and RRIFs.  Each of these product can be submitted thorough any of the following worktypes but it is based on what form of deposit is coming in with the application.   

  • This also includes review of wire transfer sent to the bank for the purpose of contributing to the newly opened RSP account and other related transactions 

Non-AWD  

  • Missing Critical Information Report  - Report that will capture changes that happened the previous business day for active CIFS with active accounts and a periodic report which will be created on the first business day of the month and capture any CIFS with missing information that may not have been on a previous daily report or CIFS that have yet to be updated since they came up on the daily report. 

  • Cannex- Independent Agents (IDA) submit new GIC business in Nominee Name to Cannex Financial Exchanges Limited on a daily basis 

  • Through an automated process, NN GIC are being purchased in PPLUS. Manila will confirm and highlight deposits made on RBC spreadsheets and report large amount purchase(s). 

  • FATCA/CRS  - Report being uploaded in BSD Intake tool every month. Update FATCA/CRS status in Pplus. 

  • PEP - Request receive in MBPS Loans & Deposits Inbox. Update PEP status of client in Pplus. 

  • AMS Reports - Emailed excel spreadsheet on the first or second business day of the monthUpdate the advisor information provided on the spreadsheet into PPLUS 

  • Commissions Report - Emailed excel spreadsheet on the first or second business day of the monthUpdate the advisor information provided on the spreadsheet into PPLUS 

Loans 

  • Leverage & RSP New Accounts - Initial IGO review of RSP loan application submitted through banklink for values of $100,000 or less. 

  • Funding - Follow up for missing information on loan applications.
