Procurement Lead

Job Summary:

This position is responsible to select clients’ 3PL partners in line with clients’ short-term and long-term strategy to select their 3PL partners. Deliver according to the financial and operational targets defined by some of the global customers of Maersk.

Job Location: JCB Plant, Ballabgarh

• Key Responsibilities:

• Vendor selection & evaluation for consumable to Capex requirements.

• RFQ preparation & floating the RFQ via email or via Online portal.

• Price escalation bench marking like Manpower- minimum wages, Diesel, etc.

• Domestic transport rate settlement -Inbound & Out bound which includes Courier/Domestic Air, PTL,FTL ,Hub & spoke etc.

• Import logistic management which includes LSP selection & evaluation.

• Focus on reducing the supplier base i.e. Supplier Consolidation.

• Long term RFQ pack preparation.

• RFQ floating directly to LSP for the RFQ -Spot / ADHOC / Long term

• First level rate negotiations with LSP.

• Due Diligence of CHA’s, Floating RFQ & consolidation for CHA activities

• Drive LSP performance through regular monitoring of key deliverables through daily / weekly / fortnightly reports and ensure system and process robustness.

• Working on the KPI for all LSP- logistic service providers, CHA.

• Market survey to monitor FSC / SSC charges to control on the Air freight cost.

• Working with LSP & operations team to reduce the transit time by exploring various modes like Sea, Air as well as courier.

• Data analysis & presentations as & when required as per business need.

• Monitoring Green initiatives of all international as well as Domestic Logistics suppliers.

Experience:

• SCM Procurement background with proper understanding of international supply chains

• Minimum 5 years of work Experience from Procurement roles in Logistic industry.
