Job Description: R&D Scientist I, Elemental & Material lab IC

Responsibilities:

•         Hands on experience quantification of Carbon, Sulfur, Oxygen, Nitrogen of catalyst / Adsorbent sample through Solid combustion instrument.

•         Maintain & manage sample throughput for selective part of Material & Elemental LAB

•         Have exposure of XRF, Surface area, Crush strength & particle size analyzer.

•         Able to follow written methods and interpret analytical data for Physiochemical properties of Catalyst & Adsorbent.

•         Interact with R&D and Pilot Plant staff to provide support analyzing and characterizing materials for Honeywell UOP and AM Technologies.

•         Utilize six sigma tools as a part of maintaining best quality practices.

•         Have good knowledge of safety standards & adhering to those guidelines as per site protocol.

•         Provide analytical support for the area and work with area experts globally to resolve measurement issues.

 

Qualifications:
• BSc or MSc in Material Science/Chemistry

• 3-5 years industrial experience in materials analysis.
• Experience in inorganic chemical analysis and structure property measurements.
• Able to interpret and report analytical data from materials characterization techniques.
• Strong verbal and written communications skills / presentation skills and listening skills.
• Self motivated and capable of interfacing effectively with R&D staff.
• Knowledge of the application of catalysts and adsorbents in refinery and petrochemical processes is a plus.
