Background:
KPMG provides Audit, Tax, and Advisory services supported by a central function, KPMG Business Services (KBS). Within KBS, the Procurement function, staffed with qualified professionals and supported by an outsourced provider. The Procurement function aims to:
•Be an invaluable business partner to KBS functions like Facilities, Corporate Services, Marketing, IT, and wider business functions such as Audit, Tax, Advisory, and Markets•Continuously improve the value and quality of third-party goods and services, minimizing risks through best-practice procurement•Enhance business processes through best-practice supplier management, driving performance, added value, innovation, and risk management across key supplier relationships•Support technology investments that enable profitable revenue growth•Deliver consistent financial benefits annually to the firmRoles & responsibilities
The Supplier Management Centre of Excellence (CoE) is responsible for the firm’s Supplier Management framework and its implementation. The Supplier Management CoE Support role is essential for driving framework adoption and guiding associated CoE activities.
Execution:
•Supporting SRM CoE's strategic delivery in coordination with Supplier Commercial Leads and the Head of Supplier Service and Governance Operations•Continuously improving the Supplier Management Framework, including training materials and toolkits•Managing supplier management data and coordinating updates from Supplier Managers•Supporting strategic supplier relationships through joint account planning, risk assessment, contract reviews, and business meetings with key suppliers•Assisting in managing and developing the internal supplier management platform (Microsoft PowerApp) and PowerBI reportingRoles & responsibilities contd.
•Enhancing SRM programme metrics reporting, covering performance, risk, spend versus budget, and innovation activity•Developing SRM CoE communications and training programmes•Collaborating with the CoE Lead on risk management approaches•Coordinating SRM responses to firm initiatives or emerging risks impacting third parties•Tracking programme benefits, aligning with Finance, and supporting the SRM business case•Ensuring implementation of controls in line with processes•Delivering high-quality SRM advisory services to stakeholders•Working with Sustainable Procurement Lead/Manager to integrate sustainable procurement objectives•Facilitating executive engagement with Tier 1 suppliers, ensuring strategic and value-driven relationshipsBuilding Relationships:
•Build effective relationships with internal stakeholders, understanding their needs and providing support•Serve as a trusted business advisor to various functions•Collaborate closely with Procurement category teams, bridging sourcing and supplier managementProgramme Management:
•Utilize strong programme and project management skills to deploy the supplier management programme effectively•Manage pressure and conflicting requirements while ensuring excellent client serviceTeam Player:
•Contribute to the procurement agenda and promote best practice supplier management•Mentor less experienced supplier managers and business operations teamsAccountability:
•Deliver project responsibilities and contribute to benefit targets•Serve as the single point of contact for SRM policies and cross-KBS supplier performance reportingBuilding Relationships:
