Senior Instructional Design
We are recruiting for an Instructional Designer in the Learning Design team. The purpose of this role is to design engaging and interactive digital learning solutions such as elearning, videos, infographics, and performance support resources. These learning solutions should be innovative, engaging and help learners retain and use what they’ve learnt in their daily roles and responsibilities.
•Understand business problems and learner profiles to design a learning solution and its evaluation methodology •Design new or refresh existing digital learning programmes (eLearning, animated videos, games) •Work with Subject Matter Experts (SME) and onshore stakeholders to ensure that the learning design meets the learning objectives and key success criteria •Build effective relationships with on-shore and off-shore teams (other instructional designers, learning developers, graphics and video experts, project managers) to build visually engaging and interactive learning content •Project manage the learning design and development lifecycle from conception through to deployment and go-live. In the event of scope changes, risks, and issues, mitigate and provide clear directions to learning, graphics and media developers •Ensure published content meets technical design and functional requirements •Review and/or update existing learning content as per post course evaluation• Ensure all learning projects are executed as per agreed team processes and methodologies
Educational qualifications
Graduate or above - Degree in instructional design, educational technology or equivalent experience will be preferred
Work experience
6-8 years of experience in using a variety of techniques to design and develop engaging instructional content that also effectively address learner, performance and business gaps
Mandatory technical & functional skills
•Clear understanding of learning content design and development lifecycle (content handover, content analysis, detailed content design, storyboarding, media sources, build, quality assurance, deployment) •Working with onshore stakeholders, onshore subject matter experts and offshore learning design team members to build innovative learning solutions •Ability to work with multiple project stakeholders and manage multiple projects concurrently •Excellent language (written and verbal) skillsPreferred technical & functional skills
•Ability to evaluate the impact of learning on performance and business goals •Analyze existing and emerging technologies to propose their use in an instructional environment •Experience in using learning tools such as Articulate 360Key behavioural attributes/requirements
•Personal drive and positive work ethic to deliver measurable results within tight deadlines and in demanding situations •High focus on attention to detail; drive and commitment towards delivering high quality service to the KPMG stakeholders •Flexibility to adapt to a variety of engagement types and working styles, and strong time management skillsExperience Level
