Job Description

Job Summary

We seek an experienced Senior CAD Draftsman to create precise technical drawings, 3D models, and plans for architectural, urban planning, and civil engineering projects. The candidate should excel in AutoCAD, GIS, Civil3D with deep knowledge of integrating these tools with software like Water/Sewer GEMS for seamless workflows in large-scale developments.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Produce detailed 2D/3D drawings, site plans, elevations, sections, and BIM models using AutoCAD, Civil3D, and GIS software.

• Integrate GIS data (e.g., spatial analysis, terrain mapping) with Civil3D for corridor modelling, AutoCAD for architectural detailing and Water/Sewer GEMS for utility design.
• Collaborate with architects, planners, and engineers to ensure drawings align with project specs, and zoning regulations.
• Perform quantity take-offs, clash detection, and revisions based on stakeholder feedback.
• Mentor junior staff on software interoperability and best practices for urban infrastructure projects.
• Maintain drawing standards, file management, and project documentation.

 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience as a CAD Draftsman in architecture, urban planning, or civil projects.
• Expert proficiency in AutoCAD (all modules), Civil3D (corridors, surfaces, grading), and GIS (ArcGIS or QGIS for spatial data integration).
• Proven understanding of software interfaces, such as importing GIS layers into Civil3D for site analysis, and exporting to AutoCAD for plan production.
• Familiarity with Water/Sewer GEMS for utility design, Indian building codes, and sustainable design principles.
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and ability to handle complex, multi-disciplinary projects.
