Job Description

NielsenIQ’s Product Leadership team develops and drives the product strategy for NielsenIQ’s vast consumer data. Whether it be panel and retail measurement, our “Connected” technology platform or our suite of client applications, NielsenIQ’s Product Leadership team defines the market opportunities that shape the products our clients use to make strategic business decisions.

As a Senior Product Manager, you’ll be at the heart of creating scalable platform applications that bring NielsenIQ’s data to the heart of the decisions our clients make every day. You can expect to work in a cross-functional, global team to contribute to building innovative analytic and tactical planning products to solve CPG, T&D and retail clients’ needs, with a focus on Media and Marketing Mix.

What you’ll do

  • Be responsible for delivering our product features to meet the goals, customer segments and use cases defined in the product strategy and roadmap
  • Develop user stories and requirements based on market and user experience research
  • Work within a team of product managers, UX and technical scrum team(s) under the agile methodology to plan, execute and deploy features and functions
  • Collaborate daily with Technology Team to discuss, prioritize and execute the actions needed to deploy new product features and functions
  • Manage the backlog, prioritization of features, value vs. complexity tradeoffs, and cross-functional dependencies / risks
  • Quickly form hypotheses and potential solutions that can be vetted out in prototypes or wireframes
  • Own user acceptance testing to validate a positive user experience with all features for your product prior to delivery
  • Work with internal stakeholders from client success and commercial teams, external customers and usage data to validate the effectiveness and success of your product

Qualification / Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in a product manager role
  • Solid ability to present information in the simplest and most compelling way
  • Solid communication skills, including the ability to influence key stakeholders and interface with clients
  • A passion for ideating on potential solutions to key client problems while simultaneously diving into the details to understand solution viability
  • Practice working in a fast-paced, collaborative, and flexible environment with the full support and cooperation from fellow team members
  • Solid understanding of technical concepts, software architecture, and IT infrastructure
  • Ability to prioritize features, bug fixes, and improvements based on their impact on customers and the business. Ability to break down complex problems and make decisions based on data, user feedback, and technical constraints
  • Clear Communication: Ability to explain complex ideas and product concepts to non-technical stakeholders, as well as communicate technical details to engineers.
  • Documentation: Writing clear product requirement documents, user stories, and ensuring that the development process is well-documented.
  • Appreciated (but not mandatory): knowledge of Cloud Platforms and DevOps tools (Azure, Google Cloud, Kubernete), Collaboration tools (Miro, JIRA, Confluence), BI Tools (Power BI, Google Data Studio), Version Control & Documentation Tools (GitHub/GitLab)
