Role Purpose 

The role is responsible to develop risk detection models, deploy the model in production and continuously monitor/update model performance and develop innovative solutions in order to mitigate and prevent risk losses in accordance with the functional objectives.

Role Accountability

  1. Create the Annual plan for losses & credit costs; 
  2. Develop & maintain the ECL provision model
  3. Estimate loss provision for Finance
  4. Create outlook/forecast of credit cost & losses on monthly/quarterly basis.
  5. Create Stress test models
  6. Perform quarterly stress testing for credit risk & liquidity risk & present the same to management
  7. Create model monitoring process (managing models across ecosystems, model lifecycle, create outlook for quarter,identify issues and highlight actions to be taken, NPA monitoring)
  8. Manage Annual/Quarterly reviews for existing models
  9. Review new models & recommend to CRO for Approval
  10. Create documents for Internal & Board reporting 
  11. Create Investor Presentation along with required backups & analysis
  12. Report automation across risk, turbine development
  13. Ensure all regulatory reports are submitted on-time
  14. Front face with RBI for response to queries
  15. Create automated dashboards for all risk reportings; Ownership/data governance of Risk Data Mart
  16. Ensure adherence to regular process documentation practices in compliance with the process guidelines

Measures of Success 

  1. No statutory or audit findings
  2. Timely preparation of governance model
  3. Timely redevelopment / refresh of stress testing models
  4. Timely and accurate annual forecast/outlook creation
  5. Provision Adequacy (timely and correct ECL, Asset classification & Provision calc)
  6. Timely and accurate updation of process documentation
  7. Process Adherence as per MOU

Technical Skills / Experience / Certifications

  1. Knowledge of SAS, Answer Tree, SAS E Miner, etc.
  2. Principles of Risk Management
  3. Risk model building capabilities

Competencies critical to the role

  1. Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  2. Verbal and written communication

Qualification 

Master’s degree in economics, statistics, operations research, mathematics, engineering, business, or related field with a strong quantitative emphasis
