System Development Manager, UTR Tech in Last Mile

UTR Tech is looking for a System Development Manager to lead a team of System Development Engineers in Gurugram. Our global team has sites in Bellevue and Bangalore. In this role, you are a key leader that influences the building, automating, and operating of Amazon’s current and next generation Intelligent Cloud Hosting technologies used to manage our highly distributed hosting infrastructure. You will work on critical business and technical functions for our customers around the world while meeting system availability goals and ensuring system performance with growing business needs. You will discover innovative ways to automate and scale our infrastructure as we expand globally. You will work together with multiple teams and departments, with plenty of opportunities to learn and grow.

The ideal candidate has a passion for understanding computing systems and for applying that understanding with an obsession for delighting customers. In this role, you will apply your skills of system design, networking, coding/scripting languages, as well as technical communication and project organization to make your impact on improving our business processes. The candidate is expected to contribute work critical initiatives, build products, lead engineers to troubleshoot, debug, evaluate and resolve computer-identified alarms. They would also be responsible to develop tools and end to end automation to achieve human free operations.

Basic Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree or above in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent, or Associate's degree or above
- Experience in systems engineering and operations leadership for an Internet service or leading-edge IT organization
- 3+ years of managing system or software development teams experience
- 3+ years of relevant hands-on systems engineering and administrative work in networking, storage systems, operating systems experience
- 1+ years of agile software development methodology experience

Preferred Qualifications

- Knowledge of professional software engineering & best practices for full software development life cycle, including coding standards, software architectures, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing, and operational excellence
- Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals (networking, storage, operating systems)
- Experience with Agile engineering practices (Kanban, continuous delivery, etc.)
- Experience with AWS platforms, services, and design patterns
