Area Sales Manager

We are looking for a dynamic and result-oriented Area Sales Manager to lead and manage sales operations in the assigned territory. The candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth, implementing market strategies, and ensuring effective coordination with the Sales Representative (SR) and Sales Officer (SO) teams to achieve business targets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Achieve primary and secondary sales targets for the assigned area.
• Develop and execute effective market strategies to expand distribution and market share.
• Lead, guide, and coordinate with SR and SO teams to ensure smooth execution of sales plans.
• Monitor daily sales activities, beat plans, and outlet coverage.
• Identify new business opportunities and strengthen distributor relationships.
• Ensure proper implementation of company schemes, promotional activities, and visibility initiatives.
• Analyze sales data, competitor activities, and market trends to enhance performance.
• Take ownership of the assigned territory and ensure consistent growth.
• Motivate and encourage the team to achieve targets and improve productivity.
• Maintain discipline, reporting standards, and performance tracking of team members.

• Strong knowledge of FMCG market dynamics and sales strategy.
• Leadership ability to manage and motivate field sales teams.

• Good coordination and relationship management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

• Minimum 3–4 years of experience in FMCG sales.
• Experience in handling a territory independently.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets.
• Knowledge of the Guwahati market will be an added advantage.
