Job Purpose: This position coordinates Electrical and C&I project activities, ensuring timely and efficient execution. Manages project schedules, oversees technical specifications, and ensures compliance with safety and quality standards. Provides support and guidance to the project team and addresses any issues that arise.
Team Lead PECM Electrical and C&I
Project Planning and Coordination:
Participate in project kick-off meetings and ensure clear communication of project goals and expectations to relevant stakeholders.
Assist in the preparation and review of project schedules (L2 and L3) for Electrical and C&I systems, providing feedback to ensure alignment with project objectives.
Coordinate with cross-department teams to develop and share project plans, timelines, and schedules with vendors.
Vendor Management and Coordination:
Provide inputs for bid and tender evaluations for Electrical and C&I systems, including Township, Main Plant building, and other infrastructure.
Assist in conducting vendor kick-off meetings and coordinate with Engineering and TC to address queries and ensure timely procurement.
Follow up with vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment, managing the process for manufacturing clearance, and coordinating CQA inspections for product quality.
Technical Oversight and Specification Management:
Assist in the preparation and finalization of technical specifications for Electrical and C&I systems, ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
Provide technical support during the installation and commissioning phases.
Monitor installation activities and coordinate regular inspections to verify compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
Quality Assurance and Compliance:
Coordinate with CQA to ensure high standards of workmanship and materials for Electrical and C&I systems, including obtaining necessary clearances such as CEIG approvals.
Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
Maintain comprehensive project documentation, ensuring it is complete, accurate, and compliant with regulatory requirements.
Cost Control and Budget Management:
Assist in the preparation and review of cost estimates and budgets for Electrical and C&I systems.
Monitor project expenditures and implement cost control measures to prevent budget overruns.
Support the preparation and presentation of budget reports, including NFAs for quantity amendments and cost adjustments.
Risk Management and Problem Resolution:
Identify potential risks related to Electrical and C&I systems and assist in developing mitigation strategies.
Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for any issues or delays, implementing corrective and preventive measures.
Address and resolve technical issues or queries that arise during the project execution phase.
Team Leadership and Development:
Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team skills and competencies.
Assist in implementing employee engagement initiatives, such as recognition programs and feedback sessions, to enhance job satisfaction and retention rates.
Support the identification and development of potential leaders within the team, contributing to succession planning efforts.

Educational Qualification:
B.E./B.Tech in Electrical, E&I, or C&I Engineering is required; an MBA is preferred.
Work Experience (Range of years):
16+ years of extensive experience in project execution, engineering, and contract management in the electrical and control and instrumentation (C&I) domains.
Preferred Industry:
Experience in the power generation industry, including thermal power plants, or other large-scale industrial sectors. Strong background in electrical engineering, C&I systems, project management, and regulatory compliance within the energy or industrial sectors is highly preferred.
