Responsibilities

As the Dy. Manager - Civil, you will be responsible for a broad spectrum of tasks that ensure the successful delivery of civil engineering projects in the power sector. Your role will encompass planning, execution, and monitoring of civil works, along with ensuring alignment with Adani’s strategic objectives. Key responsibilities include:

• Project Planning and Coordination: Develop detailed civil engineering project plans, schedules, and budgets. Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and vendors to ensure smooth progress and timely completion of civil construction activities.
• Site Supervision and Quality Assurance: Oversee on-site civil engineering activities including foundation works, structural concrete, masonry, and finishing works. Ensure adherence to quality standards, engineering specifications, and safety norms as per company and regulatory requirements.
• Contract and Vendor Management: Manage contracts related to civil works including preparation, negotiation, and monitoring compliance. Evaluate vendor performance, resolve disputes, and ensure procurement of quality materials within budget.
• Technical Support and Problem Solving: Provide technical guidance to the construction team, troubleshoot field issues, and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks impacting project delivery or quality.
• Compliance and Safety Management: Enforce strict compliance with all environmental, health, and safety regulations. Conduct regular safety audits and ensure implementation of corrective measures to maintain a safe working environment.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive project documentation including progress reports, site diaries, quality records, and inspection reports. Present regular updates to senior management to facilitate informed decision-making.
• Continuous Improvement and Innovation: Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost optimization in civil engineering activities. Champion the adoption of innovative construction methodologies and technologies consistent with Adani’s focus on sustainability and operational excellence.
• Team Leadership and Development: Mentor and guide junior engineers and site staff, fostering a collaborative culture that emphasizes accountability, learning, and growth in line with Adani’s values.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university or institute.
• Master’s Degree or relevant post-graduate qualification in Civil Engineering or Project Management will be an added advantage.
