Educational Consultant

Job Description

We are looking for an Educational Consultant to guide working professionals and job seekers based in the US and Canada who are looking to upskill, switch careers, or return to the workforce. The role involves understanding candidate backgrounds, recommending suitable training programs, and converting leads into enrollments through effective counselling.

Key Responsibilities

1. International Student Counselling

• Conduct outbound and inbound calls with candidates located in the US and Canada.
• Understand their current employment status, career gap, or job transition goals.
• Provide guidance on upskilling programs aligned with their career objectives.

2. Course & Career Guidance

• Explain course curriculum, certifications, tools, and job market relevance.
• Suggest programs that improve employability and support career shifts.

3. Needs Analysis & Consultative Selling

• Evaluate candidate profiles, experience, and target roles.
• Recommend the most suitable learning path to help them re-enter the job market or switch domains.

4. Lead Conversion & Follow-ups

• Handle warm leads and nurture them through structured follow-ups.
• Address concerns related to fees, outcomes, schedules, and job support.
• Convert prospects into paid enrollments.

5. Relationship Building

• Build trust with international candidates through professional communication.
• Ensure a positive counselling experience throughout the enrollment journey.

6. CRM & Reporting

• Maintain accurate records of calls, follow-ups and conversions in CRM.
• Track daily targets, revenue and pipeline status.

7. Target Achievement

• Meet weekly and monthly enrollment targets.
• Participate in campaigns, webinars and admission drives for international markets.

Candidate Profile

• Excellent English communication (mandatory – US/Canada accent preferred).
• Experience in EdTech counselling, inside sales, or international voice process is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of career transitions and upskilling programs.
• Ability to handle objections and close enrollments.
• Comfortable working in night shift.
• Target-driven with strong persuasion skills.

Preferred Background

• Experience in selling online courses, bootcamps, or certification programs.
• Exposure to US/Canada job market or IT/non-IT career pathways.
• Prior experience with unemployed/job-seeking candidates is a plus.
