Responsibilities

• Project Management & Execution: Lead electrical engineering activities during project execution, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, and technical specifications. Collaborate closely with project management teams to mitigate risks, resolve technical challenges, and optimize resource allocation.
• Electrical Design and Engineering: Oversee the preparation and review of electrical system designs, including power distribution, control systems, instrumentation interfaces, and grounding systems in line with national and international standards (IEC, IEEE, NEC). Ensure engineering deliverables meet project requirements and client expectations.
• Quality and Compliance: Implement stringent quality control measures for all electrical works, ensuring compliance with Adani’s health, safety, and environmental policies. Conduct regular inspections, audits, and reviews to uphold safety standards and regulatory compliance.
• Vendor and Contractor Management: Manage relationships with electrical equipment suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors. Review technical bids, evaluate vendor capabilities, and supervise contract execution to maintain quality and cost efficiency.
• Team Leadership & Development: Mentor and guide junior engineers and technicians, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Promote knowledge sharing, skill development, and adherence to Adani’s ethical and operational standards.
• Commissioning and Troubleshooting: Lead electrical commissioning activities, including system testing, fault diagnostics, and rectification. Coordinate with operations teams to ensure smooth handover and operational readiness.
• Documentation & Reporting: Ensure meticulous documentation of electrical engineering work, including design changes, progress reports, safety logs, and project correspondence. Provide timely updates and technical reports to senior management and stakeholders.
• Continuous Improvement & Innovation: Drive initiatives to optimize electrical system design and execution processes by integrating best practices, emerging technologies, and lessons learned. Champion Adani’s culture of innovation and sustainability throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering from a reputed institution.

• 10-16 years of progressive experience in electrical engineering roles within the thermal power or energy projects sector.
