Job Description
- Key Responsibilities1. Business DevelopmentDrive sales of life/general insurance products through partnered bank branches.
- Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.
- Generate leads from walk‑in customers, bank staff referrals, and existing customer base.
- Identify customer financial goals and recommend suitable insurance solutions.
- 2. Relationship ManagementBuild and maintain strong relationships with bank branch managers, staff, and key stakeholders.
- Conduct regular branch visits to ensure continuous engagement.
- Collaborate with bank employees to create a strong pipeline of prospective customers.
- 3. Customer HandlingMeet customers at the branch, understand their requirements, and provide product clarifications.
- Conduct need‑based financial planning discussions.
- Ensure high service quality leading to cross-sell and upsell opportunities.
- 4. Sales Activities & ReportingConduct product presentations, daily sales calls, and follow‑ups.
- Maintain accurate records of leads, conversions, and customer interactions.
- Provide daily and weekly reports to management.
- Participate in sales campaigns, customer meets, and promotional events at branches.
- 5. Compliance & ProcessesEnsure adherence to regulatory guidelines (IRDAI) and company policies.
- Complete documentation, KYC checks, and proposal forms accurately.
- Maintain transparency and ethical sales practices.
- Required Skills & CompetenciesStrong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to influence and build rapport with bank staff and customers.
- Good understanding of insurance products (life, health, investment-linked).
- Target-driven mindset with strong customer focus.
- Basic financial understanding and analytical skills.
- Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Graduate in any discipline (preferred: MBA/PGDM).
- Experience:1–5 years of sales experience (preferred: bancassurance, BFSI, financial products).
- Freshers with strong communication skills may be considered.
