Job Title: Mechanical Fitter / Maintenance Engineer

Job Summary:

The Mechanical Fitter is responsible for assembling, installing, maintaining, and repairing mechanical machinery and equipment. The role requires strong technical skills, the ability to read engineering drawings, and hands-on experience with tools and machinery.

• Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble and fit mechanical parts, components, and machinery.
• Perform routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs on equipment.
• Diagnose faults and carry out corrective actions efficiently.
• Install mechanical systems and ensure proper alignment.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and manuals.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
• Conduct inspections and ensure all work meets safety and quality standards.
• Maintain records of maintenance work and equipment status.
• Coordinate with engineers and other technicians during installations or repairs.
• Adhere to company safety policies and regulatory requirements.

• Skills & Requirements:

• ITI/Diploma in Mechanical Fitting or related field.
• Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter in industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Good knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and bearings.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Skilled in welding, fabrication, and use of precision instruments (vernier, micrometer, dial gauge).
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Good physical stamina and manual dexterity.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety.

• Preferred Qualifications (Optional):

• Experience in production plant.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance systems.
• Ability to work shifts or extended hours when required.
