Purchase Executive

We are looking for a detail-oriented and cost-driven Purchase Executive to manage procurement of raw materials, packaging materials, spare parts, and services for our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will ensure timely procurement at competitive prices while maintaining quality standards and optimizing inventory levels.

The role requires strong negotiation skills, vendor management ability, cost analysis capability, and ERP/system discipline.

• 🔹 Key Responsibilities1️⃣ Procurement Planning & ExecutionExecute purchase orders based on production planning and MRP.
• Ensure right material, right quantity, right quality, and right delivery time.
• Monitor stock levels and avoid stock-outs or overstocking.
• Coordinate with production, stores, and accounts departments.
• 2️⃣ Vendor ManagementIdentify, evaluate, and onboard new vendors.
• Obtain and compare minimum 3 quotations for major purchases.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery timelines.
• Conduct vendor performance evaluation (cost, quality, delivery).
• Develop alternate suppliers for critical materials.
• 3️⃣ Cost Control & AnalysisTrack raw material price trends.
• Maintain purchase cost database.
• Achieve cost reduction targets.
• Analyze purchase variance vs budget.
• Contribute to gross margin improvement.
• 4️⃣ Documentation & ComplianceMaintain PO register and documentation.
• Ensure proper approval hierarchy before PO release.
• Verify GST, PAN, agreements, and compliance documentation.
• Coordinate GRN process and quality rejections.
• 5️⃣ Reporting & MISPrepare daily purchase tracker.
• Submit weekly vendor performance report.
• Prepare monthly purchase MIS.
• Maintain KPI scorecard.

• 🎓 QualificationBachelor’s degree (Commerce / Engineering / Supply Chain / MBA preferred)
• 2–5 years of experience in manufacturing purchase
• Experience in plastic, polymer, packaging, or chemical industry preferred
• 💼 Required SkillsStrong negotiation skills
• Vendor management ability
• Cost analysis and basic financial understanding
• Good Excel knowledge (Formulas, MIS preparation)
• ERP knowledge preferred
• Strong follow-up and coordination skills
• Basic maths skills (percentage, margin calculation, rate comparison)
