Job SummaryThe Production Supervisor is responsible for supervising daily manufacturing operations, ensuring production targets, quality standards, safety norms, and efficient utilization of manpower and machines. The role requires strong shop-floor control, coordination with departments, and hands-on problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

• Production & OperationsPlan and execute daily production schedules as per targets
• Allocate manpower and machines efficiently on the shop floor
• Monitor production output, cycle time, and downtime
• Ensure timely completion of work orders
• Quality ControlEnsure products meet quality standards and specifications
• Coordinate with Quality team for inspections and corrective actions
• Reduce rejection, rework, and wastage

Manpower Management

• Supervise operators, helpers, and technicians
• Maintain discipline, attendance, and productivity
• Train new workers on processes, safety, and SOPs
• Machine & Process ControlMonitor machine performance and basic troubleshooting
• Coordinate with maintenance for breakdowns and preventive maintenance
• Implement process improvements to increase efficiency

Safety & Compliance

Ensure safety rules, PPE usage, and housekeeping (5S)

• Follow statutory, ISO, and company SOPs
• Maintain production records and reports
• Coordination & ReportingCoordinate with Stores, Purchase, Quality, and Planning teams
• Prepare daily production reports and shift summaries
• Escalate issues related to manpower, materials, or machines
• Required Skills & CompetenciesStrong shop-floor supervision skills
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes
• Ability to read drawings / work instructions
• Leadership and team-handling capability
• Basic computer skills (Excel, production reports)
• Problem-solving and decision-making skill

Qualification

Diploma / ITI / BE in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering

• Relevant experience may be considered in place of formal education
• Experience2–5 years experience in manufacturing / production supervision
• Experience in CNC / fabrication / assembly preferred
