🔹 Job SummaryThe Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing machinery and systems related to solid waste management such as shredders, trommels, conveyors, balers, MRF plants, and MSW processing plants. The role includes detailed engineering, coordination with production, and ensuring timely project execution.

• 🔹 Key Responsibilities1. Design & DevelopmentPrepare detailed 2D & 3D designs using AutoCAD / SolidWorks.
• Design machinery such as:
• Shredders (Primary & Secondary)
• Trommels
• Conveyors (Trough, Flat, Apron)
• Air Density Separators (ADS)
• Baler Machines
• MSW / MRF / RDF Plants
• Ensure design optimization for cost, efficiency, and durability.
• 2. Project ExecutionComplete design within 3–5 days after work order.
• Define project timelines and milestones.
• Coordinate with production team for fabrication and assembly.
• Support installation and commissioning if required.
• 3. Technical DocumentationPrepare:
• GA Drawings
• Fabrication Drawings
• Assembly Drawings
• Bill of Materials (BOM)
• Maintain design records and revisions.
• Prepare technical specifications for tenders and quotations.
• 4. Production CoordinationExplain drawings to production engineers and supervisors.
• Resolve design-related issues during fabrication.
• Ensure minimum rework and zero design errors.
• 5. Cost & PlanningPrepare material requirement sheets.
• Support cost estimation and budgeting.
• Optimize design to reduce material and manufacturing cost.
• 6. Quality & InnovationEnsure compliance with industry standards and safety norms.
• Continuously improve designs for:
• Higher efficiency
• Lower maintenance
• Better performance
• Suggest new innovations in waste processing technology.

• Reduction in design errors/rework (%)
• Accuracy of BOM and drawings

• 🔹 QualificationsB.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
• 🔹 Experience2–6 years in machine design / industrial equipment
• Experience in waste management machinery preferred
• 🔹 Technical SkillsAutoCAD / SolidWorks / Creo
• Knowledge of:
• Sheet metal design
• Structural design
• Gearbox & motor selection
• Conveyor design
• Understanding of fabrication processes
• 🔹 Soft SkillsStrong problem-solving ability
• Good communication with production team

• 🔹 Working Hours10:00 AM to 7:30 PM (Extendable as per project requirement)
