Laser Cutting Machine Operator

Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Laser Operator to join our manufacturing team. The Laser Operator will be responsible for setting up and operating laser cutting machines to cut and shape materials according to specifications. The ideal candidate will have experience with CNC laser cutting equipment, strong attention to detail, and the ability to read technical drawings and blueprints.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up, program, and operate CNC laser cutting machines (e.g., CO2, fiber lasers) to cut various materials such as metal, plastic, or wood.
• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and job orders to determine machine settings and material requirements.
• Monitor machine operation and make necessary adjustments to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Inspect finished products for accuracy and quality using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.).
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of laser equipment to ensure optimal operation.
• Maintain accurate production records and report any issues or inconsistencies to supervisors.
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.

Requirements:

• Diploma Mechanical candidates
• Previous experience operating laser cutting machines in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Proficient in basic math and measurement.
• Strong attention to detail and quality-focused mindset.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Familiarity with CNC programming and machine software is a plus.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and shifts if needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• BE Mechanical or Diploma Mechanical
• Knowledge of materials such as Sheet Metal, aluminum, and carbon steel.
