Job Description

The Legal & Grants Analyst will work at the intersection of legal compliance, documentation,

and institutional fundraising. The candidate will support Param’s engagements with donors,

partners, and collaborators by managing contracts, reviewing MoUs, coordinating with internal

and external stakeholders, and proactively tracking grant opportunities (CSR/government). The

role demands legal aptitude, excellent documentation skills, and a working understanding of

CSR/NGO finance frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

Legal Documentation & Compliance

● Draft, review, and manage legal documents including MoUs, service agreements, NDAs,

consultancy/employment contracts, CSR MoUs, and procurement agreements.

● Maintain version control and contract repositories; monitor expiry, renewal, and

compliance obligations.

● Support legal due diligence processes for grants, donor relationships, and partnerships.

● Coordinate with external legal advisors and advocates where needed.

Grants & CSR Partnership Support

● Track grant portals (DST, Ministry of Culture, CSMS, e-PMS, etc.) for relevant funding

opportunities.

● Draft project proposals, concept notes, and budgets tailored to institutional donor

formats.

● Map and maintain a database of active donors, CSR contacts, application statuses, and

reporting deadlines.

● Support donor communication, reporting, and timely documentation compliance.

Coordination & Process Management

● Liaise with internal departments (programs, finance, operations) for inputs required for

legal documents and funding proposals.

● Maintain clear records, checklists, and dashboards for legal and grant-related activities.

● Provide operational support for partner meetings, audits, and compliance reviews.



Required Skills & Qualifications

● Educational Background:

o LLB / BA LLB / BCom / BBA / Public Policy / Development Studies / Social

Sciences or a related field.

o Additional certifications in contract law, CSR law, or NGO finance are a plus.


● Work Experience:

o 1–3 years of experience in legal, documentation, grant management, or CSR

partnerships, preferably in an NGO or consulting environment.


● Technical Skills:

o Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and/or

Google Workspace.

o Familiarity with CSR laws (Schedule VII, CSR Rules 2021), contract clauses, and

legal vetting practices.

o Excellent drafting and documentation skills.

● Personal Attributes:

o Meticulous with attention to detail and process orientation.

o Strong communication and stakeholder coordination abilities.

o Interest in public interest law, science education, or social innovation is desirable.
