Job Description
- Key Responsibilities1. Operations & Production ManagementPlan, organize, and control daily repair and refurbishment workflows.
- Ensure production targets are met in terms of volume, quality, and timelines.
- Oversee cylinder testing, requalification, painting, valve replacement, and related repair processes.
- Implement and monitor preventive maintenance schedules for factory machinery and equipment.
- 2. Safety, Compliance & Quality AssuranceEnsure all operations follow LPG industry safety standards and regulatory guidelines.
- Enforce strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental policies.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify hazards and enforce corrective actions.
- Maintain quality control processes for cylinder testing, valve integrity, and pressure standards.
- 3. Team Leadership & Staff ManagementLead, train, and supervise factory technicians, supervisors, and operators.
- Allocate manpower and monitor performance, productivity, and discipline.
- Conduct safety and operational training sessions to promote best practices.
- Resolve staff conflicts and maintain a positive work environment.
- 4. Inventory & Resource ManagementMonitor inventory of spare parts, tools, valves, consumables, and raw materials.
- Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely material availability.
- Optimize resource usage to reduce costs and avoid operational delays.
- 5. Reporting & DocumentationMaintain accurate records of repair activities, testing reports, safety logs, and production data.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports for management review.
- Ensure documentation complies with LPG certification and regulatory standards.
- 6. Continuous ImprovementIdentify opportunities to improve factory processes, reduce downtime, and enhance quality.
- Implement lean practices and cost-saving initiatives.
- Evaluate new technologies or equipment to improve productivity and safety.
- Skills & QualificationsEducation & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering/Industrial Engineering or related field (preferred).
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in LPG cylinder repair, industrial production, or manufacturing.
- Proven experience in managing factory or workshop operations.
- Technical KnowledgeStrong understanding of LPG cylinder standards (ISO, EN, DOT, or local regulations).
- Knowledge of hydrostatic testing, ultrasonic testing, valve repair, and painting processes.
- Familiarity with mechanical systems, pressure vessels, and safety systems.
