We’re Hiring: Technical Team Lead – “Playing Captain” (Hands-On Manager)

• Location: Hosur (On-Site Only)
• Work Model: Full-Time | 70% Management / 30% Coding

ROLE SUMMARY

1. We are looking for a “Playing Captain”—a rare kind of Technical Team Lead who doesn’t just code or manage, but owns delivery end-to-end.
2. Our CEO drives Sales and Strategy.
3. You run Execution. Period.
4. You will be the bridge between vision and reality, translating high-level goals into clear, enforceable tasks that junior developers can execute without confusion.
5. This is not a senior individual contributor role.
6. This is not a people-pleaser role.
7. This is a leadership role for someone who finishes what they start and expects the same from others.

WHAT YOU WILL OWN

• Quality Control & Code Ownership
• Act as the final gatekeeper for all Pull Requests.
• Enforce clean code, naming conventions, and architectural discipline.
• Reject “it works” code that violates standards.
• Ensure every merge is production-ready, not “fix-later” ready.

You protect the codebase like it’s your own company—because it is.

Team Leadership & Daily Execution

• Run daily stand-ups with structure and purpose (not status theatre).
• Break down vague requirements into granular, junior-proof tasks.
• Unblock developers decisively—no endless discussions.
• Correct mistakes early, clearly, and directly.
• Juniors should feel guided, not confused.

Deadlines should feel inevitable, not hopeful.

Process Discipline (Non-Negotiable)

• Enforce the “Implementation Blueprint” SOP as law.
• Ensure every feature follows:

Clear scope

• Defined acceptance criteria
• Step-by-step execution plan
• Stop cowboy coding, shortcuts, and undocumented logic.
• Creativity is welcome. Chaos is not.

Delivery Reporting & CEO Communication

• Own Weekly Red / Green status reporting to the CEO.
• Flag risks early, not after deadlines slip.
• Communicate clearly, concisely, and without excuses.
• Convert strategy into execution metrics the CEO can trust.

TECH STACK REQUIREMENTS

You must be hands-on and competent, not theoretical.

1. Frontend: React
2. Backend: Node.js
3. Scripting / Logic: Python
4. Comfortable reviewing, debugging, and improving junior-written code.
5. Able to jump in and code when delivery is at risk.

You don’t hide behind Jira. You fix what needs fixing.

THE MINDSET WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Is a Finisher—unfinished work bothers you.
• Hates missed deadlines more than tough conversations.
• Is comfortable saying “No”, rejecting PRs, and enforcing standards.
