Job Summary:We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Engineer to join our manufacturing unit in Alampur, Howrah. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of machinery used in steel and iron processing. The role requires strong technical expertise and hands-on experience with specific industrial machines to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance of machines to ensure uninterrupted production. The role involves diagnosing mechanical issues, performing troubleshooting, and executing timely repairs.

The candidate must have hands-on experience in handling machines such as draw machines, roll thread machines, chamfering machines, gathering machines, and power presses. The position includes monitoring machine performance, ensuring proper lubrication and alignment, and maintaining safety standards during operations.

The role also requires coordinating with the production team to schedule maintenance activities without affecting workflow. The candidate will maintain maintenance records, report major breakdowns, and ensure proper usage and availability of spare parts. Additionally, the engineer will assist in installation and commissioning of new machines and work towards improving machine efficiency and reducing downtime.

Eligibility Criteria:The candidate should have a Diploma or Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with relevant experience in maintenance of industrial machinery. Mandatory hands-on experience in draw machines, roll thread machines, chamfering machines, gathering machines, and power presses is required. Experience in steel or iron manufacturing units will be preferred.

Skills and Competencies:The ideal candidate should have strong troubleshooting skills, practical knowledge of mechanical systems, and the ability to work in an industrial environment. Good coordination skills, attention to detail, and safety awareness are essential. The candidate should be capable of handling breakdown situations independently and efficiently.
